10th Anniversary Celebrations
The Great Laxey Mine Railway celebrated its tenth anniversary on Saturday 27th September 2015 which was also the last operating date of the season, except for the popular Hop tu Naa ghost trains. The restored railway was officially opened on Saturday 25th September 2004 by Garff MHK and chairman of The Laxey and Lonan Heritage Trust, the Hon Steve Rodan.
The following few pictures were taken throughout the anniversary day. Grateful thanks to volunteers Joseph Rock for organising, Emma Rock for baking the delicious cakes and Sue Jones for taking the official group pictures later in the day!
